Alice Zoo is a photographer and writer based in London. She is interested in contemporary rituals and the ways that people find meaning through connection to place, community, and the body.

Her work has been commissioned by publications including National Geographic, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, and has been exhibited internationally: in the Magenta Foundation Flash Forward 2016, the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition in 2018 & 2023, the Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition in 2018 & 2019, the Creative Review Photography Annual in 2019 & 2021, and Photo Vogue Festival in 2020.

She has written extensively on photography in print and online for publications including British Journal of Photography, Elephant, Granta, and Magnum, and contributed exhibition text to the 2022 exhibition at the Royal Photographic Society, 'Squaring the Circles of Confusion'. She has given lectures on photography at universities across the UK, as well as moderating panel talks on gender in photography for British Journal of Photography collaborations with Adidas and Mother London.

She is available for both photographic and writing commissions, or a combination of the two, in the UK and worldwide.
